OMG MONTEREY OMG

Crown and Anchor Pub: New Zealand Mussels in white wine, butter, garlic, and tomato broth. Parmesan Cheese topping
NOT Pictured: Thick-cut cheeps, Cornish pastie, BANGers and Mash

After the C&A, BFF and I hung out on a rocky beach. She is all artsy and tistic. Please refer to her ssszanga site for the panoramic picture of the sea and sky in Monterey. We talked a lot of trash, and avoided thscorpionth.

Grumpy, overall unentertaining penguins at the aquarium.

We also saw jellies, but these ladies were the BEST. This particular otter kept grooooming herself by rubbing her little paws into her cheeks and whiskers. I SQUEALED FROM THE CUTE, corpses.

MONTEREY OMG

We ate:

Breakfast at McDonald's: sausage, egg, cheese McGriddles with a hash brown. Did not throw up.

Lunch at the Crown and Anchor: Steamed New Zealand Mussels in garlic, wine, butter, herb, tomato-broth, topped with Parmesan cheese. Cornish pastie, gravy on the side. Thick-cut English chips. Bangers, mash with gravy, and steamed vegetables that went straight into the mussel broth. We read and over-ate. Refrained from throwing up.

First dinner at Cabo somethingorother: Shrimp ceviche-ish cocktail with avocado. I had sangria. Did not throw up.

Second dinner at Old Fisherman's Grotto: Steamed mussels and clams in garlic, butter, wine, tomato, basil-herb broth. Clam chowdah- best on the wharf. Crab cocktail. Failed to throw up.

Had a run-in with local law enforcement, and BFF now has a court date. I'm completely serious. Officer Seely was very nice, but very firm. I liked his nose.

We went to the aquarium and made friends with well-groomed sea otters and yellowfin tuna. BFF screamed at one otter who disrespected her personal space. After lunch, we hung out on a rocky beach. Literally. And almost fell into the ocean several times. Also, no scorpions stung us. Also, Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey songs are fun to sing loudly and badly.

A few choice inside jokeses:

"I am now OBEYING the law!"

"He had pretty grey eyes."

"Where there is a crowd, there must be a monkey!"

Hells YER!

"I only know the chorus"

"This is where we first held hands!"

"You barfed on this planter? Or this one?"

John Travolta and Ewan McGregor? UNF UNF UNF

BEST. DAY. EVAAAARRRRRR.

Why do I insist on allowing people to engage me in debates while I drive?
Black Angus was very fun.

Karaoke with BFF, Baby Fishmouth, Tony2, Theo, feather2pixels, Wright of Way, and Donkey Fitzgerald Fondler, is the best thing EVAR. EVAAAAAAAAR.

Here are some choice moments:

"MOH-OH-OHTORIIIIIIIIIN'!"
"she bangs, she bangs"
"I have to admit that I like Dido"
Wright of Way humoring my need to sing Britney Spears and Xtina Aguilera
Tony2 knowing EVERY SINGLE SONG
Summer Love: the highlight of the evening, sung in a very wholesome manner by BFF and T2
Theo's Iggy Pop had us all dancing in the tiny room
f2p is my rock star KING

That's right, haters. Y'all missed out.

I heart sentence fragments!

2 current reasons for disliking the Blogger:

1) Ridonkulous limit on the number of interests and books that I can place into my profile

2) User profile picture has to be in URL-format (woe! tooth-gnashy grumbles! i don't want photo hosting!)

A few favoriteses bookses, as figured out by looking quickly at the bookshelves:

The Brothers Karamazov, The Idiot, Demons, okay, ANY Dostoevsky, the more histrionic and full of tuberculosis, the better

The Black Unicorn, Sister Outsider, ALL THINGS AUDRE LORDE

Honk honk corpses!

So last night, I did a seekawit hangout with a seekawit person. After that, I did another not-so-seekawit hangout with a luffly and wonderful group of men whom I have not seen for months. Nice friend Peetah arranged everything, and managed to be not more than one hour tardy, which is good for the flakiest flake to flake since baklava hit pastryland.

They made me drink a snakebite (why call it "pear cider," when "wombat piss" is more accurate?), which was not luffly. I did not throw up.

Nice friend, Geoff, is the greatest gr8 that ever gr8ed in gr8-town. After months and months of not seeing him, he begins with "If you wanna throw up, we're here for you. Well, I'm here for you, anyway." THAT IS LOFF, CORPSES!
